Looking after your Elastic Stretch Jewellery

With the addition of my new amazing Stretch Jewellery, these pieces do have a particular way to ensure you get the longest life possible from your new pieces.

We all know that elastic is prone to eventually breaking/ snapping. This is inevitable, however there are a few things that you can do to ensure they last as long as possible.

Elastic jewellery pieces should not be worn in the water (Ocean, Shower ect.) and taken off at night when sleeping (trust me.... trying to find beads that have scattered through a bed is not fun). Also, try to limit the amount of times they are stretched to full length, as this can cause excess wear and fraying on the elastic.

For some pieces, the stones used may have been exposed to a dye to enhance their colour (I will always disclose this in the product description if treatment is known) which can discolour skin/clothing if they come in contact with moisture.

Please try to avoid contact with hairspray, makeup, lotion, and perfume as the chemicals in these products can cause the elastic to deteriorate.

Overall, just try to be as gentle as possible with these pieces to get the longest life possible. In the event that they do break, I can offer a re-stringing service on elastic for a extra charge.
